Trouble on "The Five"?
Greg vs Harold
Virtually every night at five o’clock, we watch “The Five” on the Fox News Channel. This is mostly because my wife enjoys the program, me not so much. That is especially the case when Jessica Tarlov is one of the panelists. Her whining voice as she spews leftist dogma like the little girl spewed green vomit in “The Exorcist” is a complete turn-off for me.
I am much more inclined to watch when former Congressman Harold Ford, Jr. is the representative of the Democratic viewpoint. He is generally cordial in his delivery, but last night, when they were discussing the assassination attempt by Cole Tomas Allen at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner last Saturday night, things got a little testy.
Panel member Greg Gutfeld was visibly disturbed as Ford attempted to posit that, although this was an awful event, the greater problem was, you guessed it, “Gun Violence”! He went on to state that there was an alarming rise in “Mass Shootings” in our country, which proved the need for more gun control. That did it. Greg exploded like Mt. Vesuvius, destroying ancient Pompeii.
He pointed out that most of the “Mass Shootings” (which the FBI defines as an event where four or more people are killed or wounded by gunfire) occur in minority ghettos and are gang/drug related. Harold then tried to counter with a shooting at a Midwest university that killed or wounded something like nine people in an argument over a hamburger sandwich.
He then tried to imply that the violent rhetoric was coming from the right as much as the left. That didn’t cut it with Gutfeld either, who pointed out that nobody on the right called for Barack Obama or Joe Biden to be violently “taken out” because of their actions. Violent political rhetoric seems to be confined to the left as represented by the current-day Democrats.
I’m sure that the show’s director and producers were shouting in the panel’s ears to tone it down, but even Dana Perino, whom I refer to as “Goody Two-Shoes”, couldn’t calm the troubled waters.
I’m sure that Harold will be absent tonight, and Tarlov will be back to give her take on the events, so it might be worth watching to see Greg take her on as well.
Trouble on “The Five”?

I am a regular watcher. I have learned that Harold Ford is as bad as Jessica, just easier to listen to
If you follow the show on Facebook, you will see thousands of us calling for Jessica to be fired
A fair question to ask the hardcore proponents of gun control: which of my other rights would you also like to take away?
