Know Your Enemies!

It's the only way to defeat them.

The phrase “Know your enemy” comes from the military treatise “The Art of War” by ancient Chinese General Sun Tzu.

Did he mean to know the characteristics of your enemies or WHO they are? I think both.

In the case of our domestic political enemies to the cause of freedom in this country, that would be the Democratic Socialist Party, what the traditional Democratic Party has morphed into at the present time. Note two things. They are almost all “People of Color”, and a very large portion of them are legal or illegal immigrants, not born in this country.

They have another very important trait. They hate, not love, our nation, and wish to change it into something that is the very antithesis of what our Founding Fathers envisioned two hundred and fifty years ago.

We must defeat these people. Not just at the ballot box. We must drive them out of our country and see to it that they never return. They, not we, are the purveyors of hate and discord. They have proven without a doubt that they can’t be trusted. They will lie, cheat, and steal to accomplish their goals, and are not above using violence as a means to their ends. We ignore that at our peril.

As we watch what is happening around the world, but specifically in Europe and the Middle East, we must not be coerced by the better angels of our nature into believing that somehow our adversaries, at home and abroad, will come to their senses and leave us in peace. They won’t. They can’t. It is simply not in their nature to do so.

Over the Fourth of July weekend, I was shocked to see how few people in my area showed any visible signs of patriotism, even by so simple a measure as displaying our flag. Do they think that is somehow “offensive” to others? God, I hope not.

We have watched people from all over the world, where soccer (football) is played, come to our country for the FIFA World Cup competition. From the many social media posts coming out, it is apparent that many foreign nationals are shocked to find out that the United States is a generally safe and welcoming place to visit, not a violent nation racked by gun violence and discord. Yes, there are places in some of our big cities where crime is all too prevalent and must be avoided, but they are not the norm.

Unfortunately, due to a wish to somehow cleanse ourselves from any guilt over the fact that we were once partially a slave holding nation, we listened to the siren song of Barack Obama as he first promised “Hope and Change” as we “Fundamentally Transformed America”. He then, with the assistance of his wife and other cohorts, proceeded not to bring us together, but drive us apart.

By opening our borders to tens of millions of the poorest and least skilled Third World people on the planet, Joe Biden, Obama’s former Vice President, caused nearly fatal damage to our economy and social services networks when he was elected under highly disputed circumstances in 2020. That could have been the beginning of the end of the “Great American Experiment” of whether a free people could learn to govern themselves.

Instead, there is still hope that patriotic Americans can once again come together and be the “One Nation, under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for All“ that our Declaration of Independence promised. However, that won’t be easy. Sadly, blood may once again have to be shed on the “Altar of Freedom” to accomplish that goal.
